Our story
Hart voor Transport was founded on a simple observation: the transport sector in the Netherlands is crowded, but genuine service is rare. Customers are often passed from one call centre to the next, invoices contain hidden costs, and in practice "urgent courier" sometimes means a four-hour wait. We wanted to do things differently. From our base on the Jan van Krimpenweg in Haarlem, we are building a courier service where personal contact and keeping our promises are the standard, not the exception.
We started locally in Haarlem and the surrounding area. Within a year we were driving daily to Amsterdam, Hoofddorp, Leiden, the Amsterdam Zuidas and the larger business parks across North Holland. Today we serve the whole of the Netherlands and drive on contract to Germany, Belgium, France and other EU countries. The growth comes from repeat business — customers who call us for their second, third and tenth job because they know exactly what they get from us.
What sets us apart
We are small enough to handle every phone call personally, yet large enough to provide capacity whenever a customer needs our help during peaks. We work with a fixed, carefully selected team of experienced couriers, supported by a vetted network of partner couriers. Through regional pooling and history matching in our planning system, the same courier often returns to the same customer, knows the location and keeps communication quick and direct. For urgent jobs we have an average pick-up time of 60 minutes across the Netherlands, and often shorter in urban regions.

Our mission
Getting transport delivered on time is a hygiene factor — we set the bar higher. We want every customer who calls us to come away with the feeling: "these people understand what I need and they sort it out". That means we do more than just drive. We think along about planning, warn you when a route is not feasible, and are honest about the price. It does not make for spectacular marketing — but it is exactly why our customers stay.
