Medical transport is time- and temperature-critical: a sample kept at the wrong temperature can no longer be used, and a sample that arrives too late means a delayed diagnosis or a postponed operation. A medical express courier must therefore work with validated cool boxes, logged temperatures and a strict chain of custody.
We drive daily for several hospitals in the Randstad, GP out-of-hours centres in North Holland and labs. Below is what we offer and where our limits lie.
Typical use cases
Lab samples between hospitals and external labs
Blood and tissue samples at 2-8°C with a data logger; delivery within the clinical time limit.
Pharmaceutical urgent delivery
Medication between pharmacy and patient/care facility; prescription check where required.
Medical equipment / implants
Time-critical delivery of equipment or an implant to the operating theatre; sometimes between clinic and manufacturer/distributor.
GP out-of-hours sample transport
Evening, night and weekend samples from the GP centre to a central lab.
The process in 4 steps
- Intake with specificationTemperature requirement, shelf life, pick-up/delivery address, time slot.
- Scanning at pick-upThe courier scans the sample/parcel and photographs the seal and chain-of-custody label.
- Direct transportNo intermediate stops, temperature logged during the trip, alarm on deviation.
- Delivery with signatureRecipient signature + photo + timestamp; temperature report by email.
Which vehicles do we deploy?
For medical urgent transport we use a passenger car or small van with validated cool boxes (2-8°C or -20°C with dry ice). For ambient temperature (+15 to +25°C) we work with conditioned storage.
Liability and confidentiality
Standard carrier liability applies. For high-value pharma or medical equipment a higher liability limit is available on request. Couriers sign an NDA per care facility or client. We do not see patient data — transport-only.

Frequently asked questions
Are you GDP certified?
We work according to GDP (Good Distribution Practice) principles: temperature monitoring, chain of custody, sealed cool boxes and per-trip documentation. Medical and pharmaceutical shipments are transported under GDP conditions: temperature monitoring, chain of custody, sealed cool boxes and per-trip documentation.
Which temperatures can you handle?
Ambient (+15 to +25°C), chilled (+2 to +8°C), frozen (-20°C with dry ice). Every cool box travels with a data logger; a temperature report is emailed after the trip. Cryo (-80°C) and organ transport are available on request.
How do you handle GDPR / patient data?
We only see logistics data — sender, recipient, trip time. Patient data stays inside the sealed envelope/box and is never opened. Couriers sign an NDA per client. Transport-only, no access to the contents.
Do you drive for out-of-hours GP centres?
Yes, several GP out-of-hours centres in North Holland use us for evening, night and weekend trips of samples to a central lab. The rate depends on volume and time window. Also for the GP centres in Haarlem, Hoofddorp and Amsterdam.
Can you move urgent medication between pharmacy and patient?
Yes. For urgent medication (emergency antibiotics, pain relief, oncology treatment) we drive from pharmacy to home address or facility. Prescription check if you wish; handover to the addressee with signature.
How quickly can you reach a medical urgent call-out?
Pick-up time in North Holland is typically under 60 minutes; elsewhere in the Randstad around within 60 minutes. For ongoing urgent needs (e.g. daily samples) we can place a dedicated courier on stand-by; pick-up time is then shorter still.
What does medical transport cost?
Ambient-temperature samples with a passenger car. Chilled 2-8°C (cool box included). Frozen -20°C with dry ice on request. For fixed contract clients (hospital, lab) we provide a monthly invoice with volume discounts.
