Why companies choose business vehicle transport with HVT
A single point of contact
A dedicated trip coordinator for your sites or fleet routes. Requests through one channel (email, phone, WhatsApp), scheduling and confirmation in one place — without your planner having to work out who does what for every trip.
Transport under carrier liability
Every transport falls under carrier liability within the legal frameworks (domestic, and CMR for international). For classics or high-value vehicles we advise declaring the value before pick-up, so we can arrange suitable additional cover.
Monthly invoice & cost centre
For recurring routes and fleet customers we provide a single monthly invoice with cost-centre coding per site or project. No separate invoices per trip. Rates excluding VAT for business customers.
Who is business vehicle transport for?
Our tow-truck service is used by dealers, garages, leasing companies and fleet managers who want to relocate vehicles on a planned basis without having to organise the scheduling, driving and administration themselves.
- Dealers and motor trade — showroom models moving from site to site, purchased used vehicles brought to your trading business, or delivery to a customer on location. For recurring routes we make fixed arrangements and invoice monthly.
- Leasing companies — end-of-lease swaps, a vehicle returned to a central depot, or rotation to the next lessee. One schedule, one invoice per month, cost centre per contract.
- Garages and accident repairers — vehicles that need to be brought from a safe location to your workshop (not acute, not roadside). Suitable for cars without a valid inspection, with an engine fault or after accident repair.
- Fleet managers — company fleets across multiple sites, vehicle rotations between offices, or delivery to remote employees. Central request, scheduling by week or month.
- Importers and motor businesses (classics and restoration) — purchased vehicles to your restoration business, classics between showrooms with no kilometres on the odometer, or customers who want the vehicle delivered in original condition.
- Garage businesses without their own tow truck — instead of investing in your own vehicle transport, call in HVT for incidental or structural moves. We arrange it throughout the Netherlands.
- Remote sale / trade-in — business sales to customers in other regions or trade-ins of vehicles between sites, with photo evidence of condition at pick-up and delivery for administrative handling.

Vehicle transport rates
A transparent price with no surprises. You pay the higher of two amounts: (1) the minimum rate of € 150, or (2) the distance × the per-kilometre rate of € 1.95/km. For short trips the minimum rate applies, for longer trips the calculated per-kilometre price — never both added together.
| Description | Rate |
|---|---|
| Minimum rate (floor per trip) | € 150.00 |
| Per-kilometre rate | € 1.95 / km |
| Waiting time (first 20 min free) | € 1.50 / min |
| Urgent surcharge outside office hours | + 25% |
| 2nd vehicle in combination | on request |
For an exact price for your trip, use the online calculator — it automatically works out whether the minimum rate or the per-kilometre price applies to your distance. For private requests we show the total price including 21% VAT in the price calculation; business customers receive rates excluding VAT. Also see the tow-truck specifications for details on load capacity and permitted vehicles.
Which cars can we transport?
Our standard tow truck has a capacity of up to 3,500 kg and a load bed of around 5 m long and 2.10 m wide. That makes it suitable for almost all passenger cars, light vans, SUVs and classics. For larger vehicles (large vans such as Sprinter/Crafter, box trucks, campers) we deploy a larger vehicle transporter from our partner couriers. The tow truck can also be used for motorcycles, but more cost-effective alternatives are available — call us for advice.
International vehicle transport
Within the Netherlands and the border regions with Belgium and Germany, the tow truck is deployed from our network. For further international vehicle transport (France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Eastern Europe) we work with specialised international vehicle transporters. You call us on a single number, we arrange the execution and keep you informed of progress. For international transport we draw up a CMR consignment note as prescribed by the CMR Convention; the transport falls under carrier liability with the associated statutory limits.
For private vehicle transport or having a single car moved
This page focuses on business vehicle trips between sites, dealers, garages and leasing companies. For scheduled private vehicle transport — such as collecting a car after purchase, transporting an auction car or taking a vehicle to a garage or inspection — you are better served by Autoslepen24 for scheduled vehicle transport. The same careful approach with a tow truck, condition photos and proof of delivery, aimed at individual private requests.
Frequently asked questions about business vehicle transport
Can you schedule multiple vehicles between sites?
Yes. For dealers, motor traders and fleet managers we schedule vehicle relocations between sites, storage or showroom on a structural basis. You provide the pick-up and delivery address, the preferred dates and any time windows; we send a schedule and confirm before every trip. For recurring routes we can agree fixed rates and invoice monthly with cost-centre coding per site.
Can dealers or garages request vehicle transport?
Yes. Dealers, garage businesses, leasing companies, accident repairers and fleet managers use our service for purchase delivery, end-of-lease swaps, transport to inspection, showroom rotations and internal moves between sites. A monthly invoice and cost-centre coding are available as standard. Rates excluding VAT for business customers.
Is this roadside assistance or a recovery service?
No. This is scheduled business vehicle transport by tow truck. For acute roadside breakdowns, an accident or recovery, please call your own breakdown or recovery service (or 112). Once a vehicle is in a safe location, we can pick it up for scheduled relocation to your workshop, garage or site.
Are kilometres added to the odometer during transport?
No. The vehicle sits on the tow truck for the entire trip. Not a single kilometre is added. For dealers with showroom models, classics in stock or sales demo cars this is often a firm requirement — just as with vehicles you want to deliver to a customer in original condition.
Is the vehicle insured during transport?
Yes. During transport, carrier liability applies as standard (domestic, and CMR for international). For higher-value vehicles we advise declaring the value in advance, so we can arrange suitable additional cover. The condition of the vehicle is documented with photos at pick-up and delivery, so there is no administrative ambiguity afterwards.
